Greater Piedmont REALTORS® give out scholarships to 14 seniors from the 7 local high schools in our 4 county footprint. 

 

Eligibility for scholarship:

  1. Any high school senior who is enrolled and attends one of the 7 public high schools in the counties of Culpeper, Fauquier, Madison, or Rappahannock as well as being a resident of one of those counties. Must also be in good standing and is a legal resident domiciled in Virginia. 
  2. Candidates must have achieved at least a 3.0 GPA.
  3. Candidate must provide at least 500 word essay on the “Importance of Home Ownership”.
  4. Candidate must have a financial need.

Conditions of Scholarship:

  1. Scholarship must be used for tuition, room or other educational expenses.
  2. Payments will be made only to the institution.
  3. It is the duty of the recipient to inform Greater Piedmont if plans change.
  4. Submission of your application and essay, gives Greater Piedmont permission to share your photo and essay with the Greater Piedmont membership and public.
  5. Selected winners must provide Greater Piedmont with a headshot/Senior picture.

Candidate evaluation will be based on the following (evaluation done by individual school):

  1. Candidate's academic achievement
  2. Candidate's financial need
  3. Candidate's citizenship and character
